The collection is inspired by Miami’s mix of culture, nature and picturesque scenery, with vibrant tones reminiscent of the seductive blues of the ocean, moody of the purples of the sunset sky and glimmering gold of the night stars. The intricate designs were inspired by Italian tile mosaics and animal prints such as zebra stripes.

Question: Where did you get your inspiration for your 2010 collection?
Answer: Our inspiration was taken from our surroundings of Miami including the mix of cultures and nature. We wanted to exude Miami and its celebration of life through the 2010 collection. Shades of blue and purple mixed with fuchsia and pink best represent the ocean and sky at sunset. You’ll also notice a variety of ethnic prints and textures with Italian tile designs in exuberant colors and shapes including orange, green, pink and aqua.

Question: What adjective would you use to describe this collection?
Answer: Exuberant, for the vivid colors and lavish designs.

Question: When deciding on the material what did you look for?
Answer: We look for perfection. Softness, complete four way stretch, and sharp definition in the printing process. Quality is the number one priority for us.

Question: What makes your line stand out from the rest?
Answer: Innovation. We never stop, we are always trying something new. New patterns and silhouettes. Taking risk on colors and shapes, looking for identity every step of the way, that is what identifies Luli Fama, and what identifies Luli Fama's consumer.

Question: What celebrity would you love to see wearing one of your designs and explain why?
Answer: No one in specific. Maybe Kim Kardashian since she is Armenian like my husband & Augusto, or Fergie for her amazing energy. I always smile when I am told I have a resemblance to her. Most of all we love to see our designs on the woman who is a true Luli Fama fan. We go crazy when we see our designs on the beach. That’s the best part.
